Every time I would give somebody a hug, I’d get a compliment on my perfume or a question about what scent I was wearing, which would only solidify my adoration for the perfume.
Fast forward a few weeks, I ran through the bottle in its entirety and I jumped online to purchase a full bottle. I typed in the name, had my credit card on standby, and then my jaw dropped. The perfume cost $575… EXCUSE ME!!!!!! I could not believe my eyes and my heart sank right into my stomach. I was so upset that I couldn’t have that scent in my life and I was even more upset that I used that sample bottle so frivolously! Even the name sounds expensive! This perfume is seriously unlike any other scent I’ve ever come across. When looking at the perfume’s details, the perfume scent is described as laying on the skin like an amber, floral, and woody breeze. The scent has notes of Jasmine, Saffron, Cedar Wood, and Ambergris. Although it’s very hard to describe a perfume and let’s include the fact that perfume is a super subjective item, I can only describe the scent as HEAVEN. It smells so delicious and yummy. The scent has some warmth to it, some floral notes to it that bring it sweetness, and it also has some masculine features to it as well. The scent pulls a little bit mature, but it also has a young quality to it as well.
Every single time that I put on that perfume, I felt so beautiful and that I could honestly take on the world; it was THAT good. It is such a unique scent that I never smelled any perfume that even came close to it and all of the different elements that went into it just work together in a single perfect harmony. Other than smelling like complete heaven, the perfume lasted on the skin and honestly smelled even better the longer it lingered. It was true perfection. Can you now see why I was so upset when I finished it?!

I immediately lost hope and the gears started turning in my mind on what I could be done to get this scent back in my life; at a fraction of the cost of course. After I completely lost hope, I stepped into the perfume section at Ulta and I couldn’t believe what I was smelling; was this really the baccarat or a baccarat rouge 540 dupe? For some reason, I randomly decided to try to smell perfume. The second that I sprayed it, it smelled EXACTLY like the delicious Baccarat perfume and I was SHOCKED! The best part? It didn’t cost an arm and a leg.
What perfume saved the day? The Maison Francis Baccarat Rouge 540 Dupe is the Ariana Grande Cloud Perfume. Before you think this sounds a little too good to be true, let me explain! The Ariana Grande perfume has such similar notes to the Baccarat perfume it’s UNREAL. When looking at the scent description, it is described as having notes of lavender, vanilla orchid, coconut, praline, bergamot, and cashmere. Honestly, all of those things sound a little bit crazy when thought about individually, but they all just work together to create a delicious symphony that smells heavenly.
Although the scent description is not the exact same, the perfumes smell almost identical. In addition to smelling delicious, the cloud perfume also lingers on the skin and it also smells better as time goes on. And let’s not forget the best part of all.. the PRICE! The largest bottle of the Ariana Grande Cloud perfume is $64.00, which is a tiny fraction of the Baccarat Rouge perfume. If I’m being super picky, the main difference between the two perfumes would be the lasting power because the Baccarat perfume seems like it can stay on your skin forever, and the most obvious difference between the two, is the packaging.
If you want a smell that is unique, delicious, captivating, slightly floral, and yet slightly masculine, mature and young at the same time, then I HIGHLY recommend trying out the Ariana Grande Cloud Perfume; the best Maison Francis Baccarat Rouge 540 Dupe.
